Dan specializes in helping clients to select, implement, and use software systems that maximize their effectiveness in achieving their mission. Dan guides organizations through the maze of software options while also providing support during the challenging transition to a new system. He specializes in association management, fundraising, online constituent relationship management (CRM) tools, and fund accounting. Prior to coming to CITI in 2000, Dan was the executive director for two years of an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. Previously he volunteered for three years through the Mennonite Board of Missions & the Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps program. Dan graduated from Eastern Mennonite College with a B.A. in Computer Science and from Duke Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity. Dan considers it a personal mission to help progressive nonprofits address poverty, environmental, and peace issues. Dan keeps busy in his free time coaching kids soccer and tball and watching his (mostly) wonderful children grow up. Any extra time is spent at the gym, running, reading, and engaging in theological discussions.
