Greg finds it rewarding to enable public service organizations to more effectively fulfill their missions by facilitating the best use of technology. Greg has expertise with Macintosh, Linux and Microsoft Windows environments. He has a special interest in advocating and supporting Open Source technology solutions. Greg works with various aspects of computer management and infrastructure: installing, removing, and upgrading software; hardware diagnosis and repair; printing; networking; email; remote access; general troubleshooting; documentation; backup; security; and support. Prior to Community IT Innovators, he worked for the National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund before volunteering and living as a Catholic Worker. Greg also worked for several years as a system programmer for SkillsBank Corporation, a company that develops educational software. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore Country, and A+ and Network+ Certification from the Computing Technology Industry Association.
